About Us

The YUKOS Minority Shareholder Coalition (YMSC) is an informal grouping of minority shareholders outspoken in condemning the Russian Government’s two-year, systematic campaign to expropriate and re-nationalize the privately-owned YUKOS Oil Company. 

The Government's actions have destroyed almost U.S. $40 billion in shareholder value of Russia's leading oil company, without compensation to shareholders, approximately 25% of which are non-Russian.

The YMSC's fundamental views were expressed in an Open Letter to YUKOS Shareholders published in the financial press on December 15, 2004.

Our Mission

The Coalition’s mission is to serve as an information and communications link between the Company's minority and majority shareholders, to apprise minority shareholders of legal rights that have arisen by virtue of recent developments, and to convey other options they may have to seek redress for their losses.
